Shelf Life Satellite is our in-person retail space within Design Archives Greensboro at 324 South Elm Street in Downtown Greensboro, NC.
While our online store at shelflifeart.com carries a wide selection of new and used art & craft supplies, our Shelf Life Satellite space carries handmade, vintage, and repurposed house wares.
Items are considered vintage if they are 20 or more years old, which means some classic 1990s and very early 2000s items have reached vintage status.
Shelf Life has collected art & craft supplies from artists in the Triad for over half a decade. Often when people are clearing out their studios or craft closets, items that are not supplies tend to get thrown into the mix.
We're excited to finally have a space that's a good fit for all the other things we come across in our daily sorting.
We're also excited to carry the beaded creations of Triad maker, Suzanna Ritz of @dreamlandws. She's been working with beads for over 15 years, and we just love her "Lobe Parties" earrings made of vintage Czech glass & semi-precious stones.
Suzanna also made the beaded garlands draped throughout our booth. The garlands are made from candy-colored vintage West German plastic beads. Suzanna's proclivity for combining color and texture is dreamy indeed.
We're also lucky to have some small paintings by Greensboro oil-painter Sam Wade. His portraits look amazing in any space, and especially when paired with vintage decor.
